Philadelphia Flower Show Garden Tea

Flower Show PicSeedling & Sage Catering is bringing their Farm-To-Table style and concept to the gardens of the Philadelphia Flower Show.

As they approach their 2nd Anniversary, Seedling & Sage Catering Co. is thrilled to announce they have been named the exclusive catering partner for the prestigious Garden Teas at the Philadelphia Flower Show.

The Garden Teas are held twice daily from March 5-13, with more than 100+ guests at each seating. The tea provides a peaceful pause away from the hustle and bustle of the Flower Show main floor, and sells out annually.

“When we were asked to provide our initial proposal for this amazing event, we were stunned and honored,” says Melissa McDevitt, managing partner at Seedling & Sage.

“We have experienced tremendous success and growth in the past two years, which we credit to the dynamic and creative planning, operations and culinary team who emulate our overall philosophy– we make people happy. We may be young, but with decades of hotel and restaurant experience behind us, we are ready to make our mark.

Laura Kidwell, also a managing partner agrees. “Our modern and stylish approach to the popular farm-to-table concept has been widely embraced. We are often found catering at barns, farms, arboretums and other rustic-type surroundings. The flower show is a natural fit,” she says.

Seedling & Sage plans to take the age old tradition of a garden tea party, and style the cuisine into contemporary plates that are colorful, seasonal, and of course delicious. Expect seasonal croustades, bountiful whole grain agave salads, and artisan tea sandwiches, as well as Farm-To-Table fresh herb cupcakes, paired with an assortment of exotic fine teas.
